  1. Hi Michael- great site – saw your globe light and fittings – nice
I wonder if you can help. I’m trying to track down some Monks Cap fittings and ceiling support for 3 vintage milk glass globes. They are roughly 30cm with an 11cm opening.
Prefer vintage fittings but would be ok with new …
    Many thanks
    Jo

    1. Hi Jo.
Thank you for the kind comment.

Monks cap fittings are, I’m afraid difficult to find.
I don’t know of anyone who has any but I would put and save a search on eBay as they do pop up now and again, funny enough someone was selling a lot of them some weeks back.
The other thing to keep an eye out for is vintage IKEA globe glass lights as they came with a monks cap type fitting that is easily adapted.

If anything comes my way I will drop you a line.
      Kind Regards
      Mike

  2. We have just modernised our kitchen and removed two large rusted wrought iron baronial style chandeliers plus and a two arm wall sconce. Our electrician has confirmed that they are wired with modern wiring post 2006 and are in perfect working condition with no damage. I can send photos. Would you be interested in purchasing them?
